LIMA — Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Ronald Griffith, of Lima, are celebrating 50 years of marriage today, Jan. 22, 2012. A surprise celebration was held yesterday at 6:30 p.m., at the Ford UAW Hall.Griffith and the former Connie Sue Guthrie were married Jan. 22, 1962 at the home of their pastor, the Rev. Peanut Burkett.They are the parents of three sons, Ron Griffith, of Mishawaka, Ind., Doug (Teresa) Griffith and Darren Griffith, both of Lima; and two daughters, Vickie (Steve) Sprague, of Lima and Michelle (Sam) Smith, of Bluffton. They have 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.Griffith is retired from Ford Motor Company. His wife is owner of the Olde Rustic Homestead, in Wapakoneta.
