BLUFFTON — Mr. and Mrs. Charles Montgomery, of Bluffton, celebrated 70 years of marriage Jan. 26, 2013. They celebrated by having dinner with their children.
Montgomery and the former Marjory Jean Reams were married Jan. 26, 1943, at the church parsonage.
They are the parents of one son, Charles David (Saun) Montgomery, of Bluffton; and three daughters, Jean Ann (Ralph) Nonnamaker, of Bluffton, Susan June (Darrel) Kohlhorst, of Knoxville, Tenn. and Janice Lynn (Don) Dunham, of St. Louis, Mo. They have 12 grandchildren and 16 plus great-grandchildren. One grandson is deceased.
After serving in the Army-Air Force in WWII, Montgomery farmed his entire life. He is now retired. His wife is a homemaker and the right hand to her husband, who is now retired.
