LIMA — Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Windle will celebrate 65 years of marriage Aug. 17 and 18 with a family weekend in Shipshewana, Ind.
Windle and the former Peggy Hughes were married Aug. 1, 1948, at High Street Evangelical United Brethren Church by the Rev. Gribbler.
They have three daughters, Sherry Safrit, of Raleigh, N.C., Pam Meyer, of Chicago, and Angie Meyer, of Lima. They have 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Windle retired from Superior Coach Corp. after 32 years and Fort Shawnee Council after 42 years. His wife retired from Shawnee schools after 30 years.
