Gardeners of Lima Spring Plant Sale
LIMA — The Gardeners of Lima is holding its annual spring plant sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 6 and 8 a.m. to noon May 7 at Elmview on the corner of Shawnee and West Breese roads.
Many varieties of geraniums, annual flowers and vegetables will be offered for sale by the pack or mix and match by the flat. There will also be a large assortment of hanging baskets for sale.
Proceeds from the sale will be used to promote gardening throughout the region and to help fund charitable projects such as downtown Lima plantings, scholarships and educational projects.
Evergreen Garden Club Perennial Plant Sale
VAN WERT — The Evergreen Garden Club will hold its annual perennial plant sale at 8:30 a.m. May 7 at Fountain Park, East Main and Jefferson streets in downtown. A large selection of different varieties of perennial plants will be sold at reasonable prices. Proceeds from the sale will be used for civic beautification projects sponsored by The Evergreen Garden Club.
Ride to Remember Bicycle Ride
BLUFFTON — The second Ride to Remember bicycle ride in Bluffton will start at 8 a.m. July 16. The committee is wanting to expand the ride to include as much of the community as it can. Businesses wanting to participate should contact Fred Steiner at email@example.com.

Artisan Showcase looking for artists
NEW BREMEN — The fourth annual Artisan Showcase in New Bremen will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 24. The showcase highlights artists who create jewelry, paintings, wood carvings, pottery, reclaimed furniture and more. It is held at the Crown Pavilion along the banks of the Miami and Erie Canal in New Bremen, and is held during Pumpkinfest.
Interested artists can contact the Artisan Showcase to fill out an application and reserve a booth. Booths are $60 for a 10 x 10 space. Deadline for application is Aug. 1. Fort Recovery turns 225 years old
FORT RECOVERY — Fort Recovery is hosting an eight-day festival from June 12 through June 19 as it turns 225 years old. An outdoor drama is planned, and will take place June 12, 13 and 14 at Ambassador Park. The Fort Recovery State Museum will host a week of special activities during the celebration.
