WAPAKONETA — Nellie Lietz-Montgomery is celebrating her 95th birthday with an open house from 2-4 p.m. July 16 at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Wapakoneta.
She was born July 17, 1922, in Lima, to Dewey Lietz and Goldie Hole. On June 3, 1941, she married Warren C. Montgomery, who died in July 1998.
She has two children, Kenneth (Pat) Montgomery, of Fenton, Missouri, and Sandra (Paul) Blaire, of Wilson, Kansas. Two children, Keith Montgomery and Janet Barber, are deceased. She has 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She is a lifetime member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, a 33-year volunteer at Auglaize Acres, a 52-year member of the VFW and a more than 40-year member of Republican Women.
