LIMA — According to the Urban Dictionary, a rat rod is defined as a car that’s made out of scrap parts from multiple cars; no paint, rusty parts; looks like a junky hot rod. These cars are, in most cases, imitating the early hot rods of the 1940s, 50s and 60s. Most rat rods appear unfinished. They are built according tot he owner’s abilities and with all intention of being driven. Owners with a knack for art will sometimes free-hand paint their rat rod.
Eric Webb, of Lima, owns this particular rat rod. He and his dad built this in seven months. His girlfriend, Britney, drove it this day, as Eric was working. She said it was just a fun thing to do with his dad. Britney said she likes to drive it, as it’s something different. She’s expressed an interest in them building her one, only she wants a pink one.
