LIMA — Laugh the night away at “Class Clowns for Caps and Gowns,” a comedy night with proceeds going to Lima/Allen County College Access Program.
“These comedians are individuals with a lot of talent, and our program is geared to help people use their talents, whether it’s for school or a job,” said Angie Meyer of College Access. Because the tie-in was a natural, the event was slated.
“We have a lot of employers asking for people with talent and skills, and this is just another way of showing people how to find their talents, and put them to good use,” Meyer said.
The fundraiser is the brainchild of Limaland Comedy, which has brought a variety of comedy revues to Louie’s in the last year. For this show, they are featuring local comic Jeff Paulus. Also on the bill will be Khurum Sheikh, Mike Moses and Ryan Mast, along with host, Joe Deez.
The evening will include appetizers and a cash bar. An after-party will be held at Buffalo Wild Wings.
Tickets for the comedy show are available at the door.
The College Access Program provides free assistance to residents of Allen County in pursuit of an education or training beyond high school. An emphasis is placed on residents who are first-generation or low income.
