OTTAWA ‚?? Rediscover Ottawa Memorial Park at this year‚??s second annual Ottawa Summerfest.‚??The Ottawa-Glandorf Rotary Club is committed to improving this beautiful park, and 100 percent of the proceeds from this event goes towards that,‚?Ě said Joe Laudick, president of the OG Rotary, sponsor of the day-long event. In fact, all events from baseball to cornhole, will be offered in the park to let people enjoy the day in beautiful surroundings.‚??We really have a good lineup this year. And we‚??re having back Nashville Crush, the band we had booked last year that got rained out,‚?Ě Laudick said. To insure no repeat performance, Laudick said in case of rain, all Summerfest events will move to the American Legion Hall in Ottawa. If Mother Nature cooperates, the park will play host to day-long baseball games. ‚??This is the Tawa Classic, and it‚??s top-notch quality,‚?Ě Laudick said. But if baseball‚??s not your thing, there‚??s also beach volleyball and cornhole. ‚??The great thing is there‚??s no pre-registration. You just show up if you want to join in,‚?Ě he added.Between games, folks can fill up at the beer garden or from any of the food vendors on the grounds.‚??We have something for everyone. The Blanchard River Arts Guild will also host an art festival for people to browse through,‚?Ě Laudick said.‚??We want people to come back to the park. It‚??s such an important asset of the community. And it‚??s more important than ever that we try to keep it nice, and make it even better for future generations to enjoy.‚?Ě
