Historical Society holding Cridersville’s Greatest Disaster event

CRIDERSVILLE — The Cridersville Historical Society is holding an event about Cridersville’s Greatest Disaster at 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at the Cridersville Fire Department, Main St., Cridersville.

May 2nd marks the 100th anniversary of the big fire that destroyed much of the village’s business district on East Main Street. Learn how the fire started, what caused it to spread and what the fire destroyed, plus more. There will be a walking tour to show the location of each building destroyed.
