Donna Jean Whited

Lima -Donna Jean Whited, 71, died at 11:42 a.m. Dec. 16, 2009, at St. Rita’s Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 8, 1938, in Sparta, Mich., to Fred and Eleanor Gritzmaker Harding, who preceded her in death. She married John Whited, who survives in Lima.

Mrs. Whited retired as an assistant to the director of Elderly Nutrition Services. She was a member of Lima Baptist Temple. She was a loving mother and caregiver to all those she knew. She cherished her family and friends and nurtured the relationships they shared. Her favorite pastimes included cooking, making crafts and being kind to animals.

Survivors also include two daughters, Debra (Steve) Rohrbach, of St Marys, and JoAnne (Randy) Gaster, of Lima; two sons, Mark Bloom, of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Lewis (Kimberly) Chlebek, of Antwerp, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Leslie (Nathan) Ungerott, Dustin Rohrbach, Trevor Rohrbach, Bryce Chlebek and Jacob Chlebek; three great-grandchildren, Carder and Chase Ungerott and Austin Rohrbach; and a brother, Gilbert (Hazel) Ross, of Englewood, Fla.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Blaine; and a sister, JoAnne Sims.

Services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys. Pastor Dan Wigton will officiate. A private burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.

Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to ASPCA.
