Rozella N. Lansing Walters

ADA - Rozella N. Lansing Walters, 87, died at 1:40 a.m. Dec. 6, 2009, at The Ridge at Shawnee, Lima.

She was born June 2, 1922, in Big Springs to Charles and Dora Mae O’Brien Lansing, who preceded her in death. She married Olen Walters, who survives in Lafayette.

Mrs. Walters had worked at Westinghouse Electric Corp., the Lima Tank Depot and Coca-Cola Bottling Co., all of Lima. She attended the former First Church of the Open Bible on Greely Chapel Road. She has now gone to be with the Lord.

Survivors also include a son, Mark Alan Walters, of Lafayette; three daughters, Shirley Joan (Kenneth) Burd and Ruby Kay Kenton, both of Spencerville, and Nancy (Brent) Pheneger, of Cridersville; a twin brother, Roe Lansing, of Ada; a sister, Eula Mae Young, of Ada; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Floyd, Russell and Charles Lansing; two sisters, Hazel Linderman and Nellie Jett; a son-in-law, Roger Kenton; and a sister-in-law, Alice Lansing.

Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada. Pastor Trent Boedicker will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today and until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hardin County Council on Aging or Ada Visiting Nurses & Hospice.
