Ann and Gerald Wagner

WAPAKONETA — Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Wagner, of Wapakoneta, celebrated 65 years of marriage July 17, 2011. A mass was held with Father Patrick Slonecker and Father Robert Reinhart, C.P.P.S., brother of Ann.
Wagner and the former Ann Reinhart were married July 17, 1946, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, in Bryant, Ind., by the Rev. Victor Wagner, C.P.P.S.
They are the parents of three daughters, Joyce (Joy) Fishpaw, of Wapakoneta, June Litmer, of Miamisburg and Joan Weaver, of Dublin; and three sons, Roger Wagner, of Columbus, Robert Wagner, of Corpus Christi, Texas and Randy Wagner, of Kirtland Airforce Base, Alburquerque, N.M. They have nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Wagner was a fighter pilot in World War II. He retired from Huffy Bicycle Industry, in Celina, where he was a maintenance supervisor for 30 years. His wife is a homemaker, and also designs and creates jewelry pieces and rosaries which she displays and sells at craft shows.
