Ruth A. Utrup

Delphos - Ruth A. Utrup, 73, died at 6:20 p.m. Nov. 12, 2009, at Triumph Hospital, Lima, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Nov. 3, 1936, in Delphos to Aloyious and Laura Kaverman, who preceded her in death. On Sept. 7, 1957, she married Donald E. Luersman, who died Dec. 21, 1960. On Nov. 17, 1962, she married Edwin L. Utrup, who survives in Delphos.
Mrs. Utrup retired as an office manager from Masterson’s Ace Hardware, after 30 years. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos.
Survivors also include two sons, Mark (Angela) Utrup and Chris (Jill) Utrup, both of Delphos; three daughters, Louann (Kevin) McNamara, of Loveland, Julie Turnwald, of Ottoville, and Kay (Andrew) Miller, of Delphos; 10 grandchildren, Brad (Audrey) and Lauren Utrup, Todd, Stephanie and Stacey Utrup, Blake and Connor McNamara, and Adam, Nicholas and Abbey Turnwald; a great-granddaughter, Aubrey; two brothers, Eugene Kaverman and Louis (Martha) Kaverman; six sisters, Betty Beckmann, Alice (Norman) Knippen, Margaret (Paul) Pohlman, Dorothy (Robert) Heitz, Alene Klausing and Janet (Thomas) Hiett; and six sisters- and brothers-in-law, Lauretta Hollar, Wilma Springer, Roman (AnKara) Utrup, Ruth (William) Martin, Art (Berdina) Utrup and Irene Utrup.
She was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Esther Kaverman; and five brothers-in-law, Leonard Beckmann, Richard Klausing, Merle Hollar, Harold Springer and Nile McDonald.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:30 p.m. Monday at of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos. Fathers Charles Obinwa and Jacob Gordon will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Delphos.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Harter & Schier Funeral Home, Delphos, where a parish wake service will be held at 6:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Triumph Hospital or the charity of the donor’s choice.
