Thelma J. Austin, 84, died at 1:25 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Kenton.
She was born Sept. 23, 1925, in Hardin County to Henry Phillip and Ruth L. Hesser Zimmer, who preceded her in death. On Sept. 28, 1941, she married Kenneth D. Austin Sr., who died May 5, 1988.
Mrs. Austin had been a lacer at Wilson Sporting Goods, Ada. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Ada.
Survivors include two daughters, Charolette (Gene) Fry, of McGuffey, and Jill (John) Theobald, of Troy; a brother, Harold (Ann) Zimmer, of Lima; and 12 grandchildren, 21 greatgrandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth D. Austin Jr.; two daughters, Linda Graham and Pearl Louise Austin; a granddaughter, Gina Fry; and a brother, Russell Zimmer.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada. Pastor Robert Dye will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and until time of services Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
