Lima

Shane Allen Taylor, 21, of New Dover, formerly of Lima, died Oct. 20, 2009, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 9, 1987, in Lima to Randy A. and Barbara J. Lyons Taylor. His father died May 6, 2007. His mother survives in Lima.

Mr. Taylor attended Elida High School and Apollo Career Center, where he was in the carpentry program. He worked at Marysville Industries. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, playing basketball and spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed putting smiles on people’s faces and could always brighten their day.

Survivors also include four brothers, Matt Taylor and Travis Taylor, both of Lima, Cory Taylor, of Franklin, Mass., and Trevor Taylor, of Columbus Grove; maternal grandparents, John and Freda Baldridge and Dorothy Chancey, all of Lima; two uncles, Denny Taylor, of Lima, and Damon Baldridge, of Cairo; an aunt, Charina (Chris) Tyler, of New York; five nephews and nieces, Matthew Taylor, Christina Taylor, Timothy Taylor, Hayley Taylor and Noah Taylor; and several close friends.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Frank Lyons; and great-grandparents, Emery and Lavitta Strunk.

Services will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Lewis Eastside Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
