Blenna Marlene Spence, 65, died at 3:15 p.m. Dec. 5, 2009, at her residence in Waynesfield.
She was born March 5, 1944, in Allen County to Leonard and Blenna Jackson Hawk. On Jan. 9, 1976, she married LeRoy Spence, who survives in Waynesfield.
Mrs. Spence was a homemaker. She was on the 4-H Advisory Board for many years. She enjoyed camping and collecting antiques. She was a 1962 graduate of Bath High School.
Survivors also include a son, Joel David (Laura) Miller, of Lexington, Ky.; a daughter, Donna Marie (Scott) Walker, of Columbus; a stepson, Douglas J. (Yvonne) Spence-Hubble, of Tucson; a grandson, Christopher Joel Miller; a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Nicole Walker; two sisters, Margaret Kolene (Charles) Bourne, of Lima, and Donna Arlene (Michael) Bruno, of Florida; a sister-in-law, Peggy Hawk, of Waynesfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joel Miller, who died in 1971; and a brother, James Hawk.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Lewis Eastside Chapel. Pastor Don Smith will officiate. Interment will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire, Ohio.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
