Veloice W. Skinner, 94, died at 5:13 p.m. Oct. 7, 2008, at Richland Manor Nursing Home, Bluffton.
She was born Sept. 26, 1914, in Lafayette to Harvey E. and Alma Hall McCluer, who preceded her in death. On July 24, 1935, she married Joseph F. "Joe" Skinner, who died Dec. 25, 1979.
Mrs. Skinner retired as a secretary from the Hetrick Library at Ohio Northern University, Ada, and had been a clerk at Chrismer's IGA, Ada. She was a member of County Line Church of the Brethren, Ada.
Survivors include a son, Jerold (Cathie) Skinner, of Alpine, Calif.; a daughter, Barbara E. Bowersock (Joe) Wolf, of Belle Center; four grandsons, Jerold Skinner, Sean Skinner, Lance Skinner and Shane Jeski; and a great-grandson, Reed Jeski.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Debbie Skinner; and two sisters, Margaret Strawn and Velma Clark.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada. Pastor David Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in Lafayette Cemetery, Lafayette.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and until time of services Friday at the funeral home.
