Ruby Irene Gillette

Ruby Irene Gillette, 86, died at 9:50 p.m. Dec. 24, 2009, at St. Rita’s Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 1, 1923, in Lima, to George and Emma Miller Wright, who preceded her in death. On Feb. 3, 1947, she married Charles L. Gillette.
Mrs. Gillette was a homemaker and a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and gardening. She and her husband were married 62 years.
Survivors also include a son, Machael W. Gillette, of Lima; a daughter, Janet I. Gillette, of Saxonburg, Pa.; and a sister, Della Mae Childs, of Archbold.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James Wright.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Home, Shawnee Chapel. Pastor David Stanford will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
