Ned William Roeder

Frisco, Texas

Ned William Roeder, 60, of Frisco, Texas, formerly of Lima, died March 15, 2010, at his residence.

He was born May 13, 1949, in Lima to Ned and Virginia Jean Gracely Roeder, who preceded him in death. On July 7, 1978, he married Colleen Floyd, who survives in Frisco, Texas.

Mr. Roeder attained a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University and went on to receive his MBA. He worked in marketing where he won numerous customer vendor of the year awards. He was a loving husband, wonderful stepfather, avid golfer and sports enthusiast, and he loved animals.

Survivors include three stepdaughters, Cynthia Einkauf and Stacey Johnson, both of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Debbie Hill, of Houston, Texas; two stepsons, David Hill, of Houston, Texas, and Alan Hill, of Denver; six stepgrandchildren and six stepgreat-grandchildren; a sister, Diane Jean Price, of Urbana; and a nephew, Mark Edward Price, of Urbana.

He was preceded in death by a stepson, Eugene Franklin Blake Jr.

Services will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. The Rev. William Croy will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.

Friends may call from noon until services Tuesday at the funeral home.
