Robert “Bob” C Gochenour

Buckland - Robert “Bob” C. Gochenour, 69, died at 8 p.m. October 8, 2009, at his residence.

He was born December 3, 1939, in Toledo, to Robert W. and Lucille L. (Mahler) Gochenour. Both parents preceded him in death. On October 11, 1986, he married Barbara J. Murray, who survives.

Mr. Gochenour was a 1957 graduate of Whitmer High School in Toledo. He was a tool and die maker for Modern Tool of Toledo with over 30 years of service. He was an avid hunting and sports enthusiast. He especially enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Survivors also include four daughters; Judith Lynn (Donald) Wright of Savannah, Ga., Robin (John) Duffin, of Toledo, Julia (Barry Melling) Gochenour, of Hettinger, N.D., and Michele (Lee) Eastman of Bridgton, Maine; two step daughters, Karla (Tom LaBathe) Wickham and Kathleen (John Frankovich) Roland both of Escondido, Calif.; a stepson, Karl (Tracy) Roland of Hemet, Calif.; two brothers, Donald and Dale Gochenour, both of Toledo; a granddaughter, Sara Wright of Savannah, Ga.; and eight stepgrandchildren.

A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Monday  at the family farm located at 09811 S.R. 197, just north of Buckland. The Rev. Herb Wilker will officiate. Burial will be on the family farm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Rita’s Hospice.

Services are under the direction of Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta.
