Wadelene L. “Wade” Reed

Alger

Wadelene L. “Wade” Reed, 67, died at 2:40 a.m. Jan. 22, 2012, at her residence.

She was born Feb. 28, 1944, in Alger to Ralph E. and Irene Olive Van Riper Biederman, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 24, 1976, she married Wilmer W. “Willy” Reed, who died March 18, 1983.

Mrs. Reed had been the head baker at The Andersons, Lima. She was very accomplished at cooking and baking. She loved to make crafts and was a talented seamstress. She spent time caring for family members and friends throughout her life.

Survivors include a son, Chad W. (Jill) Reed, of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; three brothers, Melvin (Tana) Biederman, of Wapakoneta, Dean Biederman, of Alger, and Dale E. Biederman, of Columbus; a brother-in-law, Clarence Moore, of Greer, S.C.; two grandchildren, Hunter Reed and Katie Reed; a special niece, Becky Hawk, of Elida; and her special friend, John Dobnicker, of Ada.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, the Rev. Ralph and Melbourne Biederman; and two sisters, Naomi Moore and infant Valgara Biederman.

Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger. Pastor Jack Duffy will officiate. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and until time of services Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
