Elnora M. Recker, 85, died at 3:10 p.m. Nov. 10, 2009, at The Meadows of Ottawa-Glandorf in Glandorf.

She was born Feb. 12, 1924, in Putnam County to Daniel and Martha Holt Michael, who preceded her in death. On May 29, 1946, she married Alfred F. Recker, who died Dec. 27, 1996.

Mrs. Recker was a homemaker and a farmer. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, and its Altar Rosary Society. She was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9142 Auxiliary, Ottawa. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family.

Survivors include two sons, Richard (Brenda) Recker and Tim (Anna) Recker, both of Ottawa; a daughter, E. Carol (Ron) Okuley, of New Bavaria; and 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Daniel and Bernard Recker; two brothers, Francis and John Michael; and four sisters, Margaret Jaques, Mabel Mullet, Arlene Miller and Ruth Miller.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. Father Matt Jozefiak will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, where a Scripture service will be held at 2:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Putnam County Hospice or SS. Peter & Paul School Endowment Fund.
