Harold J. Prowant
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Cloverdale - Harold J. Prowant, 88, died at 6 a.m. Sept. 4, 2009, at his residence.
He was born April 23, 1921, in Beaverdam to Ephraim and Lenore Troyer Prowant, who preceded him in death. On June 27, 1948, he married Lelas K. Keller, who survives in Cloverdale.
Mr. Prowant retired as a farmer and as a hi-lo driver from Ford Motor Co. Lima Engine Plant. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors also include two sons, Stanley (Marjorie) Prowant, of Pendleton, Ore., and Mickey (Heather Davis) Prowant, of Cloverdale; a daughter, Beverly (Arthur) Muir, of Antwerp; and nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental. Pastor Brent Gibson will officiate. Burial will be in Monroe Cemetery, Continental, with military rites by America Legion Post 541.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
