LIMA — Madelon Maley and Gregory Powell, both of Lima, announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Michelle Powell, to Jeffrey Michael Byers, son of Allison and John Byers, of Northport, N.Y.
The bride-elect graduated with a bachelor of science in biology from Saint Mary's College. She is employed as a laboratory animal technician at the University of Notre Dame.
Her fiance is a graduate of Holy Cross College with a bachelor of arts in business. He is currently employed in the financial services industry.
A June 2012 wedding is planned in South Bend, Ind.
