Clarence W. Pohl

Glandorf

Clarence W. Pohl, 75, died Oct. 14, 2009, in Michigan.

He was born Aug. 17, 1934, in Fort Jennings to John and Hilda Utrup Pohl, who preceded him in death. On Aug. 17, 1955, he married Dolores Buddlemeyer, who survives in Glandorf.

Mr. Pohl was a developer for several years all over the United States. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf. He enjoyed farming. He was passionate about his work and passed away doing what he loved. He loved music and his German heritage. He was a dedicated and loving father who enjoyed spending time with his family. He touched the hearts of many people, young and old, near and far. He will be greatly missed.

Survivors also include a son, Randall Pohl, of Wapakoneta; two daughters, Barbara (James) Rutkowski, of Toledo, and Joyce Meyer, of Elida; four grandchildren, Sarah Rutkowski, Grace Rutkowski, Kyle (Rebecca) Meyer and Ian Meyer; three sisters, Esther (Dennis) Siefker, of Delphos, Doris (Don) Honigfort, of Ottoville, and Ruth Wegasin, of Delphos; and a brother, Gilbert (Mary) Pohl, of Coldwater, Mich.; and several nieces and  nephews and several great-nieces and -nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf. Father Tony Fortman will officiate.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, where a parish rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
