Patricia E. Otto, 53, died at 8:15 a.m. Oct. 25, 2009, at St. Rita’s Medical Center.
She was born July 16, 1956, in Lima to Louis and Rita Plescher Schmitz. Her father preceded her in death. Her mother survives in Ottawa. On Nov. 22, 1975, she married Charles Otto, who survives in Miller City.
Mrs. Otto was a dishwasher at the Red Pig Inn, Ottawa. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching football games and races.
Survivors also include a son, Jamie (Melissa Thome) Otto, at home; a daughter, Jodi (Phil) Schroeder, of Glandorf; three grandchildren, Taylor, Allison and Sara Schroeder; two brothers, Eugene (Marlene) Schmitz and Michael (Connie) Schmitz, both of Glandorf; and a sister, Linda (William) Best, of Glandorf.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Louis Schmitz Jr.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City. Father Stephen Stanbery will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, where a Scripture service will be held at 6:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
