Ohio State 2008 football signing listMIKE ADAMS (Dublin Coffman) 6-8, 305, Defensive End.  Top 100 ranking by ESPN, Scout.com, Rivals.com,  Superprep and Buckeye Blue Chip.  Rivals.com ranks him the No. 1 offensive tackle in the country and the No. 3 player overall.  Parade Magazine All-American.  Two-time All-Ohio.MICHAEL BREWSTER (Edgewater HS, Orlando, Fla.) 6-6, 305, Offensive Lineman.  Parade Magazine All-American.  Top 100 ranking from ESPN, Scout.com, Rivals.com and Superprep.  Enrolled at OSU in January.BEN BUCHANAN (Westerville Central) 6-0, 200, Punter/Kicker.  Strong leg in all areas of the kicking game.  Has kicked 50+ yard field goals and 80 percent of his kickoffs were not returned.  Was 14 of 16 on field goals as a senior with the two misses coming from more than 50 yards.  Averaged 41 yards a punt.NIC DI LILLO (Madison) 6-5, 225, Tight End.  Two-time All-Ohio selection who totaled 86 catches over the last two seasons.ZACH DOMICONE (Beavercreek) 6-3, 215, Safety.  Domicone’s stock rose dramatically during the recruiting process.  He started out being recruited by Ohio University, then he verbally committed to Nebraska.  He was going to take a visit to Oklahoma when OSU offered him and he accepted.GARRETT GOEBEL (Montini High School, Villa Park), Defensive lineman.  Top 100 ranking from  Scout.com, Rivals.com, Superprep.  Illinois state heavyweight wrestling champion.  Was one of three finalists for Illinois’ Mr. Football award.TRAVIS HOWARD (Krop High School, Miami, Fla.) 6-1, 185, Defensive back.  Chose Ohio State over Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Auburn and several others.  Had 6 interceptions as a senior.  Has a 36-inch vertical leap.OHRIAN JOHNSON (Boga Ciega High School, Gulfport, Fla.) 6-2, 178, Defensive back.  All-state player who also threw for 1,100 yards as a quarterback.JERMIL MARTIN (Cleveland Glenville) 5-11, 225, Fullback.  Took back a verbal commitment to Iowa when Ohio State offered him a scholarship.  Twenty-two tackles for losses and 10 sacks as a senior.  All-Ohio.  WILLIE MOBLEY (Eden Prairie, Minnesota)  6-3, 262, Defensive end.  Rated the No. 2 player in Minnesota and the No. 9 defensive end nationally by Rivals.com.  Had 21 tackles for losses and 12 sacks as a senior.DE VIER POSEY (Cincinnati LaSalle) 6-3, 190, Receiver.  Parade All-American who is rated the No. 3 prospect in Ohio and the No. 21 player nationally by Rivals.com.  Had 47 catches for 770 yards and 7 touchdowns as a senior.SHAWNTELL ROWELL (Cleveland Glenville) 6-4, 325, Defensive tackle.  All-Ohio player who had four sacks as an interior lineman.ETIENNE SABINO (Krop High School, Miami, Fla.) 6-3, 225, Linebacker.  Visited Southern California and Florida before picking Ohio State.  Plans to enroll at OSU in March.  Family is Dominican.  Top 100 prospect according to ESPN, Rivals.com, Scout.com, PrepStar and Superprep.J.B. SHUGARTS (Klein, Texas).  6-7, 299, Offensive Lineman.  Parade Magazine All-American.  Oklahoma, LSU and Texas A&M also recruited him strongly.  Had 121 “pancake” blocks as a senior.  Top 100 player according to four scouting services.  His dad, Bret Shugarts, played two years with the Pittsburgh Steelers.JAKE STONEBURNER (Dublin Coffman) 6-6, 223, Receiver.  74 catches for 1,267 yards and 15 touchdowns as a senior.  Top 150 player according to three scouting services.  Runs a 4.46 in the 40-yard dash.ANDREW SWEAT (Trinity High School, Washington, Pa.) 6-2, 225, Linebacker.  His dad was a three-year starter at Syracuse and played with the Kansas City Chiefs.  Has 4.55 speed in the 40-yard dash.  Will enroll in March.  Reportedly has a fastball that has been clocked at more than 90 miles per hour as a pitcher in baseball.  Top 100 recruit according to most scouting services.LAMAAR THOMAS (Friendly High School, Fort Washington, Md.) 5-11, 175, Receiver.  Has 4.4 speed in the 40-yard dash.  Turned down Maryland to sign with Ohio State.  Could play a Ted Ginn-type role, though no one has said he is as fast as Ginn.KEITH WELLS (Gainesville, Ga.) 6-5, 235, Defensive Lineman.  Picked Ohio State over Tennessee and Notre Dame.  Seven sacks as a senior.  NATHAN WILLIAMS (Washington Court House) 6-4, 245, Defensive Lineman.  Was also recruited by Oklahoma, Wisconsin, California, West Virginia and others.  Runs a 4.67 in the 40-yard dash.
