Paul C. Oakley

Wapakoneta

Paul C. Oakley, 68, died at 4:33 a.m. Oct. 9, 2009, at St. Rita’s Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 13, 1940, to Donald L. and Fentrus Rostorfer Oakley, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Oakley retired in 2002 from Ametek Westchester Plastics, Wapakoneta, after 34 years. He will be remembered as a collector of Wapakoneta memorabilia as well as advertising items and toys.

Survivors include two sisters, Twilia (Ivan) Elsass, of Anna, and Vickie Schweitzer, of New Knoxville; two brothers, Donald J. Oakley, of Urbana, and Lynn (Rosie) Oakley, of Wapakoneta; and seven nieces, six nephews and several other relatives.

He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Ron Schweitzer.

Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta. Pastor John Wistner will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services  Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, The Gardens of Wapakoneta, or St. Rita’s Hospice.
