Beck's accusations unfounded

Dan Beck has indicated that he is disappointed as to how Sam Crish is running his campaign by accusing him of "cuddling" with politicians in this community. You need to be able to communicate with all leaders of this community in order to establish and promote constructive working relationships, including those leaders who have achieved their positions through the political process.

On numerous occasions Dan Beck has failed to cooperate and work with various leaders of this community, an example being Lima's chief of police and the City of Lima's administration. This alienation has not been in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Lima and Allen County as a whole. With Sam Crish as sheriff, this lack of cooperation will be rectified.

It is an absolute necessity that all entities are able to work together by building respect through communication, trust and cooperation.

I also would like to address Dan Beck's accusation that Sam Crish has accepted money and has aligned himself with those who could influence his campaign and administration. Sam's campaign is dependent on contributions donated by his supporters as is the campaign of his opponent. It is a ridiculous statement that because someone wishes to donate to Sam's campaign that it will influence his administration anymore than those who have donated to Sam's opponent's campaign.

It is my belief that one man cannot stand alone, and if Dan Beck believes working together, building trust through communications and cooperation is "cuddling" with politicians and/or contributors - so be it. I call it "taking on a leadership role."
