Lima Schools levy not tax increase
Comments 0 | Recommend 0I am writing in support of the Lima City Schools renewal levy this fall. This is not a tax increase; this levy was passed in 1974 and has been renewed ever since. It is vital to the basic budget of the Lima City Schools.
Our boys attend Heritage Elementary School (which was rated an "Excellent" school this year), and we have been impressed with the quality of education there. Last year, two teachers, Mrs. Gordon and Miss Johnson, improved our older son's reading ability by more than three grade levels. Each time we have asked to meet with a teacher, the teacher either did so immediately or set up a time to meet with us within a day. The entire staff is committed to providing a positive, academically-focused atmosphere.
Please vote to support the hard work of our city's teachers and students.
