Van Wert

Mildred Lucille Morrison, 80, died at 6:30 a.m. Oct. 24, 2009, at CHP Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born Feb. 1, 1929, in Antwerp to Claude and Ada Koroff Tracy, who preceded her in death. On Sept. 2, 1949, she married Homer W. Morrison, who died July 9, 2007.

Mrs. Morrison was a homemaker. She was an avid gardener and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include three children, Larry (Patsy) Morrison, of Delphos, Randy (Debra) Morrison, of Toledo, Carol Morrison, of Van Wert; one brother, Robert (Betty) Tracy, of Grover Hill; six grandchildren, Nicole Morrison, Olivia (Ben) Langdon, Jennifer Morrison, Jason (Amanda) Morrison, Michelle (Kevin) Hinegardner and Van (Angie) Spragg; 13 great-grandchildren, Alexander, Anja, Kayla, Grace and Derek Morrison, Noah and Emma Langdon, Garrett, Bryce and Adam Hinegardner, and Emily, Kyle and Drew Spragg.

She was preceded in death by five sisters, Elberta Ours, Inez Lawther, Wilma Bish, Beatrice LeMonds and Lois Thrasher, and a son-in-law, Jerry Kadykowski.

Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home and Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Paul Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Middle Creek Cemetery, Grover Hill.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the CHP Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
