Guadalupe Miranda, 78, died at 3:03 p.m. Sept. 15, 2009, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 25, 1930, in Alamo, Texas, to Alvaro and Matilde Martinez Fuentes, who preceded her in death. On Sept. 8, 1949, she married Henry Miranda Sr., who died Dec. 18, 1996.
Mrs. Miranda was a cook at Oak Grove Nursing Home, Deshler, the Texas Migrant Council, Pandora, the Hernandez Posada, Leipsic and catered for all occasions. She was a member of Fountain of Life Church, Leipsic. She had been a member of the Guadalupe Society. She attended ESL classes.
Survivors include five sons, Henry (Mary) Miranda Jr., of Findlay, and Feliz Miranda, Anthony (Jackie) Miranda, Michael Miranda and Jesse (Ann) Miranda, all of Leipsic; three daughters, Mary Ann (Jose) Zamora, of McComb, and Gloria (Conrado) Villela and Victoria Miranda, both of Leipsic; 29 grandchildren; 80 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Juan De Dios, of Texas.
She was preceded in death by five daughters, Susanna Lucial Miranda, Beatrice Rodriguez, Elaine Hernandez, Rosa Hernandez and Carmen Miranda; and seven siblings, Incarnacion and Porfirio Fuentes, Antonia Cadriel, Eusebio and Pablo Fuentes, Bonifacia Perez and Juan Perez.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fountain of Life Church, Leipsic. Pastor Jose Zamora will officiate. Burial will be in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Leipsic.
