Joann L. Miller

Cridersville - Joann L. Miller, 78, died at 12:20 a.m. Nov. 20, 2009, at Baton Rouge Senior Health Center.

She was born Nov. 11, 1931, in Franklin County, to Harold C. and Edna M. Heskett Volk. In 1949, she married William J. Miller, who died Oct. 13, 2000.

Mrs. Miller had worked at many restaurants in the Lima area. She loved bingo, garage sales and auctions.

Survivors include a son, William J. (Kathy) Miller of Lobelville, Tenn., a daughter, Wanda J. (Samuel) Stokley of Lafayette; four grandchildren, Ken Stant of Phoenix, Ariz., Quinton Thorton of Lima, Rachelle Miller of Lima and Anthony Miller of Wapakoneta; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son Michael A. Miller; a brother, Harold Volk Jr.; and a sister, Ruth Peters.

There will be no local services. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Tennessee.
