Harold Joseph “Joe” McPheron, 81, died peacefully Jan. 31, 2012, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
He was born Aug. 1, 1930, in Lima to Harold and Mary Catherine Foley McPheron, who preceded him in death.
Mr. McPheron was an Army veteran. He had worked at Clark Equipment. He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 698, the Commanders Club and AMVETS Post 21, all of Findlay. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include two daughters, Randi (Fred) Hirschmann, of Wasilla, Alaska, and Kelly (Hank) Ornelaz, of Camarillo, Calif.; a daughter-in-law, Kathy (Dave) Arnold, of Clyde; three grandchildren, Mindy (Chad) Koenig, of Westerville, and Joshua and Raymond Ornelaz, of Camarillo, Calif.; two great-grandchildren, Leah and Ian Koenig, of Westerville; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Scott McPheron; his companion, Donna Litzenberg; two brothers, Bob (Fran) and Harold F. McPheron Jr.; and two sisters, Rosemary (Gene) Casey and Maggie (Bill) Riepenhoff.
A private family service and burial will be held.
Memorial contributions may be made to AMVETS Post 21, 423 Trenton Ave., Findlay, OH 45840-3747.
