Janice J. McNett, 76, died at 4 p.m. Jan. 30, 2012, at Mayfair Nursing Care Center, Columbus.

She was born April 23, 1935, in Lakeview to Dale E. and Nellie E. Newland Carlock, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. McNett was a graduate of Thomas-Carr-Howe High School, Indianapolis. She had been a bookkeeper at Satellite Connections, Lima. She was a member of the Bath Township Fire Department Auxiliary. She enjoyed taking cruises with her family. She had been a resident of Mayfair Nursing Care Center since Nov. 11, 2011.

Survivors include two children, Julie D. (Mark L.) Morris, of Worthington, and Ken D. (Tammy) McNett, of Spencerville; seven grandchildren, Renee L. Grumblis, of Hilliard, Stephanie R. Grumblis, of Worthington, Kristin N. Grumblis, of Delphos, Taylor N. Morris and Ashlee L. Morris, both of Worthington, Scott D. (Jody) McNett and Stacey S. (Brandon) Vaughn, both of Spencerville; five great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Barbara Carlock, of Lima; and her beloved Maltese, Spaz.

She was preceded in death by a son, Mark A. McNett; a brother, Michael E. Carlock.

Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville. The Rev. David W. Howell will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Van Wert County.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Laps of Life, Powell, or Relay for Life, Lima.
