Dorothy Ann McGlone, 81, died at 1:44 p.m. Feb. 1, 2012, at St. Rita's Medical Center.

She was born April 30, 1930, in Portsmouth, Scioto County, to Warren and Jessie Wiget Schuler, who preceded her in death. On June 1, 1952, she married Hubert Jackson McGlone, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. McGlone was a 1948 graduate of Portsmouth Clay High School. She had been a sales clerk at J.C. Penney for 22 years. She enjoyed going to casinos and watching and feeding squirrels in her backyard. She also enjoyed working outside and keeping her flower gardens.

Survivors include three children, Barbara (Robert) Lohr, of Kansas City, Mo., Kenneth McGlone, of Lima, and Dennis (Michelle) McGlone, of Florence, Ky.; three granddaughters, Brittney Hammons, Caitlyn McGlone and Kimberly Allen; three great-grandsons, Christian Allen, Brady Allen and Jace Hammons; two sisters, Darlene Goad, of Portsmouth, and Shirley (Lester) Brafford, of Minford; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Schuler, of Portsmouth.

She was preceded in death by a brother, George Schuler.

Memorial services will begin 11 a.m. Saturday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Pastor Russell Wilke III will officiate.

Friends may call at a gathering after the service Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
