90th Birthday — Quentin G. Maxfield

LIMA — Quentin G. Maxfield will celebrate his 90th birthday Jan. 30, 2012. An open house is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m., Jan. 29, 2012, at Trinity United Methodist Church.
He was born Jan. 30, 1922, in LaCrosse, Wis., to George G. and Lucy E. Tandy Maxfield. On Nov. 27, 1947, he married Jean A. Everett, and she died March 24, 1992.
Maxfield has one son, Everett (Nancy) Maxfield, of Morral; and two daughters, Kathleen (Philip Corrado) Maxfield, of Monrovia, Ca. and Emily Maxfield, of Lima. He has five grandchildren.
He is a 1947 graduate of Ohio Northern University with a bachelor of science in pharmacy. For almost 35 years, he owned and was the chief pharmacist of Maxfield's Pharmacy. He retired in 2010 from Rite Aid.
Maxfield is a life-long member of Grace United Methodist Church and now attends Trinity United Methodist Church when both congregations merged. He is on the staff parish relations committee and helps cook at their kitchen community breakfast.
He is a member of the Ohio State Pharmaceutical Association and the Northwest Ohio Pharmaceutical Association.
Maxfield loves music, completing jigsaw puzzles, working in his yard and watching anything on PBS.
