Carol Ann Martin, 66, died Nov. 9, 2009, at St. Rita’s Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 28, 1943, in Auglaize County to Harold and Gladys Barns Seibert, who preceded her in death. On June 13, 1965, she married John Martin, who survives in Lima.

Mrs. Martin had been an elementary school teacher in Spencerville, Columbus and Lima schools. She was a member of Cable Road Alliance Church, where she was a deaconess. She was a loving mother and an excellent cook. She enjoyed bowling. She was a graduate of Spencerville High School and Huntington College.

Survivors also include two sons, John H. (Pam) Martin and Steve (Lina) Martin, both of Fort Shawnee; two grandchildren; and a sister, Janet Seibert, of St. Petersburg, Fla.

Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. The Rev. Bob Ferrell will officiate. Burial will be in Kossuth Cemetery, Kossuth.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
