Susan R. “Susie” Skaggs

Susan R. "Susie" Skaggs, 24, died at 4:18 p.m. July 18, 2008, at her residence.

She was born Feb. 18, 1984, in Lima to Ross William Skaggs and Pamela Jo Porter. Her mother and stepfather, Steve Cotrell, survive in Lima. Her father and stepmother, Mickki Skaggs, survive in Lima.

Ms. Skaggs attended Marimor School and participated in community-based services. Her beautiful smile brought joy to everyone who knew her. She will be missed by family and friends. There is great peace in knowing she is in the presence of the Lord with no physical limitations.

Survivors also include a brother, Mark A. Wildman, of Los Angeles; three sisters, Rachel A. Wildman, of Columbus, and Nichole Cotrell and Brittany Cotrell, both of Lima; a maternal grandfather, John (Tina) Porter, of Kenton; stepgrandparents, John and Sallyann Ankney, of Toledo; an aunt and uncle, Ann and Ralph Howe, of Kenton; an aunt, Lisa Ann Wallace, of Bellefontaine, and an uncle, John Porter, of Rushsylvania.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Donna Porter; and paternal grandparents, George and Virginia Skaggs.

Private family graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Lewis Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Community Church, 4359 Allentown Road, Lima, OH 45807; Cable Road Alliance Church, 2264 N. Cable Road, Lima, OH 45807; or Equestrian Therapy Program, 22532 Bowsher Road, Cridersville, OH 45806.
