Rita D. Kuhlman

Rita D. Kuhlman, 80, died at 8:05 a.m. May 11, 2008, at her daughter's residence.
She was born July 28, 1927, in Kalida to August and Magdalena Altenburger Hohenbrink, who preceded her in death. In April 1955, she married James A. Kuhlman, who died Jan. 14, 1969.
Mrs. Kuhlman had worked at Baso Glove Factory, GTE Sylvania, Ottawa, and Calvary Manor Nursing Home, Glandorf. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen (Chuck) Kaufman and Patti (Joe) Brinkman, both of Ottawa; five grandchildren, Brandon Kaufman, Ashley (Jason) Schroeder, Shelly Brinkman, Nicole Brinkman and Joe Brinkman Jr.; a brother, Donald (Phyllis) Hohenbrink, of Ottawa; a half brother, Alfred Hohenbrink, of Rockport; and a sister, Alice Brooker, of Phoenix.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, William, Sylvester and Harry Hohenbrink, and Gerald Fischer; and three sisters, Mary Gerding, Frances Schwertner and Alfreda Fortman.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. The Rev. Tom Hemm will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, where a Scripture service will be held at 2:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Putnam County Hospice.
