Wanda V. Kinkle-Winter

Lima - Wanda V. Kinkle-Winter, 87, died at 4:34 p.m. Dec. 5, 2009, at Lima Memorial Health System.
She was born Aug. 11, 1922, in Putnam County to Leo and Gertrude E. Ayers Berryhill, who preceded her in death. On April 11, 1939, she married Kenneth B. Kinkle, who died Oct. 3, 1997. On Dec. 12, 1998, she married Michael M. Winter, who survives in Lima.
Mrs. Kinkle-Winter enjoyed life to the fullest. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was well know for her volunteerism. She was a longtime member of Bluelick United Methodist Church, where she was very active. She was a 26-year volunteer at Lima Memorial Health System and was a volunteer for several other organizations and fundraisers. She never tired of helping others. She drove a school bus for Perry Schools for 14 years and was involved in several activities at the school, including the PTA and was a library assistant and study hall monitor. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially her family.
Survivors also include six children, Mary Rigdon, of Elida, Kenneth L. Kinkle, of Lima, Gregory L. (Rebecca) Kinkle, of Corpus Christi, Texas, Rebecca S. Woten and Beverly A. (Tony) Geiger, both of Lima, and Kevin B. Kinkle, of Marion; a son-in-law, Walter Bolton, of New York; three sisters, Vanciene Placie, Virginia (Bob) Routson and Joann Hemenway, all of Lima; a half-brother, Jerry (Mary Lou) Berryhill, of Statesville, N.C.; a sister-in-law, Sharon Berryhill, of Payne; and 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Diane Bolton and Jackie L. Kinkle; a half-brother, Jack Berryhill; and her stepfather, Lloyd Carr.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bluelick United Methodist Church. The Rev. Mark Burden will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bluelick United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
