S. ElDora King, 90, died at 12:40 p.m. Nov. 29, 2009, at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.

She was born April 19, 1919, in Hillsdale, Mich., to Forest and Ida Viola Dunlap Baber, who preceded her in death. On June 8, 1936, she married Ben Porter King, who died April 22, 1982.

Mrs. King was a homemaker. She was a member of West Newton United Methodist Church until it closed. She had been a leader of the youth fellowship group at the church and a youth Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed spending time with all her grandchildren and the extended family she at the Mennonite Memorial Home. She was an avid fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes.

Survivors include two sons, William P. (Jo Ann) King, of Hudson, Ind., and David R. (Sharon) King, of Lima; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Nees, of Lima; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Baber, of Lima.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Forest, Earl, Virgil, Robert and Edgar Baber; and a sister, Pauline Reese.

Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Lewis Eastside Chapel. The Rev. Gregg King and the Rev. William Herr will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
