David H. Keasler

David H. Keasler, 62, died at 1:52 a.m. Dec. 25, 2009, at the emergency room of Lima Memorial Health System.

He was born Aug. 16, 1947, in Marysville, Blount County, Tenn., to Howard T. and Virginia Brown Keasler, who preceded him in death. On Dec. 28, 1970, he married Zora Louise Prater, who survives in Harrod.

Mr. Keasler had been a machine operator at Mid-Bus in Bluffton. He was a Marine Corps veteran, serving in Vietnam from Jan. 29, 1968, to Aug. 19, 1969. He attended Alger United Baptist Church and was a graduate of Perry High School.

Survivors also include three daughters, Angela (Michael) Miller, of Harrod, Amy Millirans, of Ada, and Kimberly (Christopher) Voegele, of Brookville, Ind.; two brothers, Paul (Evelyn) Keasler, of Greenback, Tenn., and A.J. (Donna) Keasler, of Elida; a mother-in-law, Leatrice Prater, of Harrod; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ruth Keasler.

Services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Hone, Ada. Elders Denver Caudill and Freddie Preston will officiate. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger, with military rites by the Ada Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9381 Honor Guard.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and until time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
