LaJean Kay Shoemaker, 63, died at 5:50 a.m. Nov. 1, 2009, at St. Rita’s Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 5, 1945, in McComb to Dick and Marjorie Searfoss Shoemaker, who preceded her in death.
Ms. Shoemaker retired in 2002, for RCA-Harris/Intersil, Findlay. Following her retirement she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the former EUB Church, West Leipsic.
Survivors include two sisters, Karon (Don) Punches and Marlene (Gerald) Inkrott, both of Leipsic; a brother, Kenny (Marty) Shoemaker, of Leipsic; nine nieces and nephews, Sheila Punches, Shelly (Roger) Meyer, David (Kelly) Punches, Brent Inkrott, Jan “J.T.” Inkrott, Sarah (Jason) Newell, Brock Inkrott, Ryan (Jori) Shoemaker and Nathan Punches; and seven great-nieces and -nephews, Hunter Meyer, Kierra Meyer, Madelyn Inkrott, Willa Punches, Makenna Punches, Jarrett Newell and Owen Shoemaker.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Leipsic. Pastor Tim Eding will officiate. Burial will be in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Putnam County Home Care and Hospice, St. Rita’s Hospice, or the American Cancer Society.
