Joseph C. “Joe” Sparks

Joseph C. “Joe” Sparks, 29, died at 11:48 p.m. Nov. 25, 2009, at Lima Memorial Health System following an auto accident on Townline Road south of state Route 67 in Auglaize County.
He was born Oct. 31, 1980, in Kettering to Gary P. and Wanda J. Carpenter Sparks, who survive in New Bremen. His fiancée, Cassie Cox, survives in Wapakoneta.
Mr. Sparks was a welder at General Dynamics. He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 2075. He enjoyed working on his custom car.
Survivors also include a son, Dustin Cox, of Wapakoneta; a brother, Matthew Paul Sparks, of New Bremen; and his maternal grandparents, Wilbur and Mabel Carpenter, of Coldwater, Mich.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The Rev. Jonathan Spyker will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to a fund for Dustin’s education.
