John A. “Tank” Burden

Lima - John A. “Tank” Burden, 49, of Las Vegas, formerly of Lima, died Dec. 1, 2009, at his residence, that he shared with his mother.
He was born Nov. 29, 1960, in Lima to John and Jeanette Burden. His father and stepmother, Carol Burden, survive in Glendale, Ariz. His mother survives in Las Vegas.
Mr. Burden was a graduate of Lima Senior High School. He was a Navy veteran, serving two years.
Survivors also include paternal grandmother, Martha Burden, of Glendale, Ariz.; a sister, Kelly Lee Andrada, of Hayward, Calif.; a brother of the heart, Jay (Linda) McGee, of Lima; two nieces, Ashley and Rachel Andrada, of Hayward, Calif.; an uncle Wilbert Dillingham, of Lima; and two aunts, Stephanie J. Dillingham and Jo Ann Evans, both of Lima.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, John Griffen Burden; maternal grandmother, Bernice “Scooter” Dillingham; and two uncles, Porter M. Sloan and Ronald “Dip” Dillingham.
There will be no services.
The family requests no flowers, but asks that you remember him for the good person he was.
