ELIDA — During the 1960s the Chevrolet Impala had become the most popular model in the United States. The 1962 Chevrolet Impala received a cleaned-up, squared restyling, were a bit wider than before, and featured a body creaseline. Chevrolet produced 704,900 cars this year. The sales brochure said, “We're pretty proud of this year's Impala ... ‘62 Impala has the elegance of the expensive cars - without the expense.”
Larry Wheeler, of Elida, brought his 1962 Chevy Impala to The Lima News' Real Wheels Cruise-In. He has owned it for 10 years, and is the third owner. This was his first car show with this Impala.
