Rosie Hinds, 77, died at 11:04 a.m. Oct. 4, 2008, at Lima Memorial Health System.
She was born Dec. 30, 1930, in Alger to William B. and Cecil F. Lawrence Warrington, who preceded her in death. On July 29, 1951, she married Glenn E. Hinds, who survives in Ada.
Mrs. Hinds worked for the Ada Herald as a carrier. She and her husband were former owners of Hind's Short Stop, Hind's Dairy Bar and G&R Laundry, all in Ada. She was a member of the former Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 6, where she was a past worthy matron in 1988. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Latham Chapter 364, Kenton. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors, Alger.
Survivors also include a son, Jeff Hinds, of Fort Worth, Texas; a daughter Becky (Mick) Harpel, of Kenton; three grandchildren, Todd (Larissa) Harpel and Eric Harpel, both of Kenton, and Rachel Baird, of Upper Sandusky; five great-grandchildren, Laney, Ali, Bradley, Logan and Jackson; and a sister, Etta Gertrude "Ertie" Spradlin, of Lima.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lavonne "Bonnie" Brown and Viola Miller.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada. Pastor Frank P. Smith Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home, where an OES service will be conduct at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
