Kim L. Haunhorst

Lima - Kim L. Haunhorst, 54, died at 10:50 p.m. Dec. 3, 2009, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 30, 1955, in Lima to Melvin R. and Dolores J. Weichart Haunhorst, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Haunhorst had been a finish carpenter. He enjoyed restoring and building furniture for his children, working with his hands and listening to music. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church. He was a graduate of Delphos St. Johns High School.

Survivors include a son, Kyle E. Haunhorst, of Akron; a daughter, Aubrey M. Haunhorst, of Lima; the mother of his children, Loretta (Russell) Grice, of Lima; three brothers, Alan (Beverly) Haunhorst, of LaGrange, Ind., Shane Haunhorst, of Fremont, and Quint (Pam) Haunhorst, of Delphos; six sisters, Sandra Benroth, of Elida, Rene (Daniel) Hoehn, of Delphos, Lisa (Dave) Menke, of Middle Point, Dina (Roger) Mauk, of Delphos, and Darci (Brad) Brubaker, of Columbus Grove; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. Father Dave Ross will officiate. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
