Harrod
Sondra D. Lawrence, 72, died at 8:45 a.m. Dec. 23, 2009, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 4, 1937, in Lima to Merl and Kathryn Ackerman McCluer, who preceded her in death. On Sept. 9, 1956, she married Kenneth E. Lawrence, who survives in Harrod.
Mrs. Lawrence was a homemaker. She was a member of Harrod Christian Church, where she was the treasurer for more than 30 years and a Sunday school teacher. She was a 1955 graduate of Harrod High School. She was a member of the Allen County Farm Bureau Council 18 and the Friends Group of Harrod.
Survivors also include four sons, Douglas (Denise) Lawrence, of Lima, David (Barbara) Lawrence, of Harrod, Darin (Misty) Lawrence, of Deshler, and Christoph (Aline) Damaske, of Koein, Germany; three daughters, Demaris (Joe) Reffitt, Deborah (Scott) Lloyd and Darcy (Mark) DeLeon, all of Harrod; four brothers, Max McCluer, Lyman (Meredith) McCluer and Eric McCluer all of Lima, and Kevin (Mardi) McCluer, of Columbus; her twin sister, Ronda (Ted) Gossard, of Lima; a brother-in-law, Carl Lawrence, of Harrod; a sister-in-law, Catherine (Ron) Graber, of Enid, Okla.; and 37 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alexandra Lawrence; and a sister, Demeris McCluer.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Harrod Christian Church. Pastor Gary Rummel will officiate. Burial will be in Auglaize Cemetery, Harrod.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
